Y is for Years

Celebrating the A to Z Blogging Challenge with quotations on the writing life.

It’s not the years in your life but the life in your years.

Abraham Lincoln

You don’t have to come back from the edge of death like me to see truth in Lincoln’s statement. God has given us today as a gift.

What are we waiting for? It’s time to do some living, friend.

    1. An older friend told me of something her mother said when she crossed the bridge to 50. “Honey, mirrors are for young women. In the morning, you get yourself fixed up, and then don’t look again.”

I am finding denial to be a useful tool. Young at heart is key.
