With a Grateful Heart

Today I pause to give thanks and to celebrate the loving family gathered around me.

My sweet Mom is no longer with us, but I am blessed to cook dinner today for my husband, sons, daughter-in-law, and neighbor. I have every reason to be grateful. God is good, all the time.

My holiday has also been enriched by you, reading friend. Your friendly support and interest in my books means a lot. Thank you.

Speaking of books, Robin and Wendi and Barbara and I marvel at the success of A Very Austen Christmas.  Day after day, we wake up to see that the #1 Best Seller tag is beside our title — still.

We had no way of knowing that this kind of book would be so well received. Apparently Heartwarming and Austen and Christmas combine well together. More eBook giveaways will be coming on-line soon, so stay tuned.

Have I mentioned that we are planning a Valentine anthology for 2019? Exciting times! Oh, and I finally have the clearance I need. The first of the Mercy’s Embrace books should roll out as a republished indie in a couple of weeks.

  1. We have much for which to be grateful, Laura. Thank you for reminding us. We’d love to see you in the summer! Gayle had her pool redone, and by then, she’ll be retired! Fun times ahead!

    1. Thank you, JW. We have had such a good time as a family yesterday — and while people slept in today, I worked to get caught up with responses to the various giveaways going on. This book promotion thing is work! 😀 But I woudn’t trade it for anything!

Tomorrow my husband goes bow hunting — they never get anything, they just take pictures and hike — so I have dedicated time set aside to work on the Mercy’s Embrace re-release. Lots to do! When it rains, it pours, right?

I hope you and your family have been enjoying a nice Thanksgiving holiday, JW. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I have a lot to be thankful for also. My daughter had us to her house which is becoming a traditional. I brought 3 pies. Today I stayed in as I don’t deal with crowds at stores and on the road. So I read a lot and exercised. I am so thankful for JAFF authors and readers. Glad to hear others had a good day.

    1. I stayed in all day today as well. I have learned, from helping Mom clear out a mountain vacation home, and then her main residence before she moved to assisted living, that I will have to part with my possessions — all of them. Oddly enough, this helped curb the desire to buy-buy-buy….

I’m happy to hear you had such a warm and loving Thanksgiving holiday, Sheila.
