Now then, about the news I promised to share today…

You probably know that we’re planning a Valentine anthology for 2019. This week I began posting chapters.

It’s a story I’ve long wanted to write, and yes it’s another mashup. When ideas show up that you cannot shake off, you know you’re in for a good time.

Faced with a lonely future—and finding himself “strapped for cash” (as the young bucks say)—Sir Walter Elliot manfully decides that the time has come to marry again.

But his careful plans go sadly awry … until he gets a look at a certain lady’s estate.

You’ll never guess who she is. Then again, maybe you will …

  1. Do you mean it will be like trying to stroke a cactus? 😀

Actually, he and the woman he is pursuing have quite a lot in common. Never underestimate the power of a handsome, socially poised man … especially with women of a certain age.

  2. Oh your new book on Sir Walter sounds very intriguing! Hmmm…Lady Catherine comes to mind…now what a pair those two would make!! I haven’t read any of the posted chapters, just speculating! I will wait until it comes out! Congratulations!

    1. Ding-ding-ding!-ding!!

      Bingo, Carole! Well done!

Oh, the headache of writing for intelligent readers! I really have to work to keep ahead of you, because you are excellent guessers! 😀

Thing is, with these two, knowing the premise doesn’t spoil the fun.
