EBook giveaway for A Very Austen Romance

Today we’re celebrating the eBook release of A Very Austen Romance. We’re very excited to offer our third anthology to you.

That’s right, another book that friendship built.

This time, Chautona Havig is joining us as guest author.

This is the perfect summertime read, a delicious escape to Jane Austen’s Regency world. And girlfriends, this book is LONG.

You’ll smile, you’ll sigh … and you’ll laugh, because my contribution combines romance with comedy. What can I say? Scheming Lady Catherine is up to no good …

To celebrate, I’m giving away one eBook copy this week.

Will the prize be coming to your Kindle?

To enter, simply comment to this post. I’ll draw a winner on June 19th, 2020.

International readers, I’m not sure how we’ll work out the prize delivery. Amazon has become annoyingly difficult when it comes to gifting eBooks outside the author’s home country. Perhaps you’ll get an Amazon gift card so that you can buy it for yourself?

If I can gift that to you …

Kindle Unlimited subscribers, A Very Austen Romance is ready and waiting!

Here’s what’s inside:

The King of Hearts by Robin Helm

Twenty-year-old Kitty Bennet, the only unmarried Bennet sister, goes for an extended visit with Mr. and Mrs. Darcy in London where Elizabeth decides to host a coming out ball in Kitty’s honor.

Four eligible bachelors compete for Kitty’s favor, but only one can win her hand.

Kitty has the wonderful, awful task of selecting one from a field of no bad choices. Which man will she choose?

A Step Too Far by Wendi Sotis

While touring his friend’s new estate, Fitzwilliam Darcy comes across a young lady in jeopardy. Even though coming to her aid could also ruin her reputation, he refuses to risk her life by leaving her in such a perilous situation.

During her daily amble, Miss Elizabeth Bennet takes one step too many. Is she in love with the man who saved her life, or is it simply a deep sense of obligation that will fade with time?

John Knightley Takes a Wife by Barbara Cornthwaite

Young John Knightley is in love—so in love that he agrees to invite the beautiful Miss Maria Dudley’s wild younger brother for a visit to the family estate at Donwell Abbey. John finds he’s got his work cut out for him thanks to Dudley’s fondness for pranks and port. But when Dudley sets his sights on Isabella Woodhouse—or, rather, her fortune—John’s views on love and honor are challenged and he must decide what kind of man he really wants to be.

In the Looking Glass by Mandy H Cook

Fanny Bingley, twenty-year-old daughter of Jane and Charles Bingley, chafes under the restrictions placed upon women of her time period. She decides to take matters into her own hands, and unlike her ten siblings, charts her own course to love, finding a husband in an unlikely manner.

Charming Miss Dashwood by Chautona Havig

All Conrad Thayer wanted was a respite in the country and the luxury of days spent in a fine library. However, Margaret Dashwood and a roving band of “highwaymen” have stolen that opportunity, and in regard to Miss Dashwood, his heart along with it.

You’ve Got to Kiss the Girl by Yours Truly (Laura Hile)

It is Darcy’s duty to marry Anne—and Lady Catherine is determined to see that he does. Even if she must have him abducted! But her nefarious plan goes horribly wrong, for the kidnappers seize the wrong girl …

    1. You know that when I get Lady Catherine going, nothing good is going to come of it!

There are wonderful stories in here.

Thanks for entering the giveaway, Sheila. I haven’t done an eBook giveaways for a long time! 😀 Maybe not many will cruise by, thereby increasing your odds of winning.

      It could happen!

  1. Thank YOU for being with us on this project. I am loving your CHARMING MISS DASHWOOD, Chautona.

Usually we see Elizabeth Bennet as the witty one with sass. But Elizabeth’s got to be perfect as well. Your Margaret, on the other hand, gets to be human. What a fun story! Well done.

  2. An abduction! How scandalous! lol And somehow I’m not surprised that Charles and Jan could have 11 children 🙂 And I’m sure Charles is just so agreeable, all the children get whatever they want without argument! And I always thought Kitty never got enough credit, because away from Lydia, I always thought she’d could be more like Jane and Lizzie, so I’m excited to see where Robin takes her! 🙂

  3. There is such variety, just waiting to be enjoyed. I’ve said it before, but it is very true: I get to be both a contributor AND a fan. Every time, my writing friends step up to the plate with wonderful stories.

    Every. Single. Time.

Thanks for coming by to enter the giveaway, Jennifer. Good luck!

  4. Collections are always great reading! Wishing you all every success with it. If Amazon doesn’t allow international gifts, I would imagine a mobi file sent via email would do the trick. I have received some books in this manner in the past.

    1. Thanks for entering, Marie.

It’s too bad that Amazon has become so strict about international gifts. When I contacted customer service, do you know what they told me? You, the winner, needed to change your address at Amazon to a USA address (temporarily), and then the eBook would go through.

Good grief, like that’s a solution?

Good luck in the giveaway, Marie. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Your name’s in the hat, Jen. Hooray! This one is delightfully LONG — not so delightful if you’d like to buy the paperback — with so many delightful novellas. We think it might be our best one yet.

Thanks for coming by to enter.

    1. Hi, Xena Anne!
      Thanks for entering our giveaway!

Robin’s KItty story is so lovely, and mine is … well, Lady Catherine gets what is coming to her.

I’m not sure how I was able to combine romance and comedy. You’ll have to tell me if I succeeded, okay?

      Good luck in the giveaway!

  7. Gosh! Stories by favourite authors and an introduction to authors I had not heard of – sound exciting!
BTW I too am not in the US. I have tried the changing my address to my sister’s for Amazon.com to be happy, but somewhere in the address change to US and back, some of my ebooks dribbled off my Amazon.ca account and I haven’t figured out how to get them back.

    1. Hi, Beatrice! Thanks for entering the giveaway. We’ll figure something out for international winners. It’s just so strange that Amazon hasn’t figured out a better way to gift eBooks across international lines.

    2. Were these books that you bought for your Kindle, Beatrice? You might go into your Amazon account and take a look at what is in the cloud on your Kindle. There’s a way to send them to your Kindle again, if they’ve gone missing.

    1. I was in a tight spot last summer, Jen. My anthology story, So This Is Love, roared to life as a novel. What was I supposed to do for a story?

Who would have guessed that Lady Catherine would come to the rescue?

We love to see her schemes go wrong! And in this one, they surely do.

      Thanks for entering the giveaway!

  9. Yeah! A Kitty Bennet story! Then there is Margaret Dashwood, Isabella Woodhouse and Anne de Bourgh! I, too, am not surprised how many children Charles and Jane had…appears as if this Fanny is more like an Elizabeth! Ha! the wrong girl you say? I’m sure Elizabeth gave as good as she got! I do have a U.S. account so no worries with the giveaway for me! So glad to see another one of your anthologies!

    1. The wonderful thing about anthologies is that authors can branch out and try stuff with secondary characters.

We give no guidance to our authors (other than clean and Regency era). It’s a wonder to see what each of us come up with.

Good luck in the giveaway, Carole. Thanks for coming by.

    1. Hi, Karen,

They’re not all Darcy and Elizabeth stories. 😀 We each write what we like, and that gives you a choice.

      Thanks for entering the giveaway.

      Good luck!

  10. I should be careful when I say “tomorrow.” Alas, a kidney infection showed up and laid me low.

But I’m better now. Congratulations to Karen Callaghan, our winner!

Karen, I’ll need your email address. You can contact me at Laura@laurahile.com, and I’ll get the eBook on its way to your Kindle.

Unless you’re international, and then we’ll figure something else out. 😀
